Wakulla County Soil and Water Conservation District

From farm to forest. From springs to sea.

Wakulla County is located at the bend of north Florida’s panhandle. Bordered by the Gulf to the south and the state capital of Tallahassee in Leon County to the north, Wakulla County is characterized by sandy soils, pine forests, freshwater springs, and saltwater fishing and aquaculture.

What are Soil & Water Conservation Districts?

Formed in the U.S. as a response to the Dust Bowl of the 1930s, Soil & Water Conservation Districts serve counties across the country to conserve soil and improve water quality.
